Hardscape / Landscape Foreman

We are seeking an experienced hardscape and landscape construction foreman. Position will oversee installation of commercial and residential landscape projects including paver patios, retaining walls, drainage, finish grading and planting projects.

Position is responsible for:

• Enforcing the company's policies and procedures.
• Arriving on time - 7:00 or 7:30 depending on the season.
• Instructing others on handling, moving and installing plant material properly.
• Training coworkers on proper equipment usage and maintenance.
• Instructing coworkers in techniques to improve quality and productivity.
• Performing skill-oriented tasks while directing others.
• Organizing jobs from start to finish, delegate tasks to crewmembers.
• Tracking all materials and job receipts. Report daily progress briefs.
• Teaching crew members procedures and construction techniques.
• Performing site layout and run small to medium sized jobs with little assistance.
• Providing input to help improve estimate and production.
• Maintaining a positive attitude and outlook.
• Serving as primary contact with clients on a daily basis.
• Final quality of jobs.
• Safety of crew including reporting and correcting dangerous situations, reporting accidents, demonstrating the safe operation of tools and equipment, ensuring use of proper safety equipment by all crew members.

Candidate must be:

• Experienced with paver patios installation and techniques.
• Detailed oriented and knowledgeable of proper construction techniques in order to produce high-quality project in an efficient manner.
• Plan ahead for daily job-site needs including: materials, labor and equipment needs and scheduling, including all necessary tools required for each day.
• Able to keep accurate records including time-sheets, material usage and job site activity.
• Knowledgable and capable of basic maintenance of all assigned equipment and vehicles.
• Industry experience is a must.
• Drivers license required.
• Experience driving a truck with a trailer.
• Experience operating skid-steer or front loader is a must.
• Experience operating excavator is a preferred.
• Some periodic travel may be required. Per diem will be provided.
